"Foreshortened Trees"
5th graders observed winter trees and created this unusual point of view.
The tree has been "foreshortened".  It's as if the artist was laying under the tree
and looking up the trunk towards the sky.
 
 
 

OWLS!
2nd graders use a variety of papers to make night-time owl collages.






Western Meadowlark Collage
4th graders used phone book paper and Nebraska maps to create this collage on block printed background paper.
 
 
 
 
 
 Star Christmas Tree Landscapes
2nd graders painted paper with tissue paper, cut out star shapes
and created/decorated a star tree in a sparkling winter landscape.

 
 
 

Evergreen Trees/Winter Landscapes
Kindergarteners used chalk pastel for sky and ground then painted evergreen trees into their winter landscapes.



   



                                                                        
 Barns
6th graders looked at Kansas painter Debra Clemente for inspiration 
and created rural landscapes of barns with tempera paint and oil pastels.





Hooray for the Red White and Blue! Patriotic Collages
5th graders identified shapes, symbols and colors that can convey
American patriotism.  They created a
collage on top of gessoed paper.
